Anyways, the first thing I thought of when I thought of black and white wasn't just the conversion of images to black and white but I thought about how I've always wanted to take pictures of smoke rising. I'd never looked into but since I've always wanted to, this week's theme gave me the opportunity to! There were many directions I thought about taking (snow as a good contrast, piano as a classical black and white instrument) but I decided to go with the smoke because I felt taking this photo would expand my talents & take me out of my comfort zone!
